Flores Family- Albury Family Portrait Photographer

Over the past couple of years I have had the privilege of photographing this beautiful family as Christmas draws near. It is one of the highlights of my calendar, and I just love trying to guess which image they will choose for their yearly Christmas card!

Photographing repeat clients is a great way to try something new and different. This year we ventured outdoors for a moody, muted theme. Leysa had an idea to have long, dry grass in the background, however given the recent spate of snake sightings in the area we were hesitant to venture too far into long grass in the bush. I wanted to keep them safe but still get the look she was after, and so we found an unusual but effective solution. These portraits look as though they were taken in a wide field in the middle of the countryside, but in reality we were standing on the side of a road near a busy intersection on the outskirts of town. It just goes to prove you can make magic happen just about anywhere when you have beautiful morning light, a long lens and a fabulous (and trusting!) family.

When the flies got too annoying we ventured back to the house where I took some gorgeous portraits of their littlest love, Allegra. I couldn’t resist sneaking in some updates of their other two daughters as well- they are just adorable and the light was perfect (I think I need to do all my portraits in your hallway Leysa! That’s ok, right?!!)

Thank you Flores family for once again welcoming me into your home and for being so brave on the side of the road. I’m sure you’ll agree the effort was worth it!

I am now taking bookings for family portraits in early 2020. If you would like me to photograph your family please get in touch.
